Impaired drivers can and should be held accountable after a crash

Drivers in Atlanta probably wouldn't get behind the wheel of their vehicle if they knew that they were going to crash into someone or something. We don't expect to get hurt or collide with other vehicles, and that is why we call them accidents.

Can I still file a lawsuit after a crash if I was at fault?

There are typically many factors involved in car crashes. In many cases, there is one main factor, such as distraction or speed, which appears to be the immediate cause of a crash. However, there may be several other factors involved that can determine how or if a victim will be able to pursue compensation for injuries.

The importance of informed consent

We rely on the training, experience and knowledge of doctors and nurses to treat us when we are sick or hurt. However, we still play an important role in our own care, thanks to informed consent laws. These laws protect a patient's right to agree to or deny medical treatment after receiving the proper and necessary information from a doctor.
