A fatal truck accident recently happened in Georgia. The crash occurred last Friday in Effingham County, Georgia. That morning, a 49-year-old woman was driving a car south along Midland Road. The woman’s car was then hit by a westbound semi truck at Midland Road’s intersection with Blue Jay Road. Reportedly, the semi truck had failed to obey a stop sign.
According to reports, the driver of the truck is expected to face criminal charges in relation to this accident. This truck accident is still in the process of being investigated.
This crash resulted in the 49-year-old woman who was driving the car dying. The driver of the tractor-trailer did not suffer any injuries in the accident.
It is very important for truck drivers and truck companies to not act negligently. Negligence by truck drivers or truck companies can sometimes result in truck accidents occurring. Truck accidents can result in individuals getting seriously injured. As the above-mentioned accident shows, truck accidents can sometimes even have fatal results.
No individual should have to suffer injuries due to the negligence of a truck company or a truck driver. Also, no family should have to suffer the loss of a loved one due to the negligence of a truck company or a truck driver.
If a person is injured due to truck driver or truck company negligence or if a family loses a loved one due to truck driver or truck company negligence, there are options available to the affected family to seek financial relief from the negligent parties.
