Zack W. Greenamyre

Atlanta, Georgia

Zack W. Greenamyre is an associate at Mitchell & Shapiro dedicated to guiding clients to optimal resolutions of their legal disputes. In addition to his general litigation work, Mr. Greenamyre maintains a civil rights practice aimed at obtaining justice for those who have had their constitutional rights violated through interaction with law enforcement and the criminal justice system. Mr. Greenamyre is a recent graduate of Harvard Law School where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review. While at Harvard, he sought every opportunity to gain practical legal experience, providing over 2,000 hours of pro bono services, in addition to completing more traditional coursework.

Mr. Greenamyre has worked and learned with excellent attorneys while representing clients in the most significant legal disputes of their lives. For the preeminent law firms Loevy & Loevy in Chicago and the Law Offices of Howard Friedman in Boston, he worked on behalf of people who have been beaten by the police, illegally searched or arrested, wrongfully convicted, and silenced for protesting. And at the Southern Center for Human Rights, he fought against the criminal justice system’s most egregious abuses, including working on a team that earned Timothy Foster a landmark victory at the United States Supreme Court in Foster v. Chatman, 136 S. Ct. 1737 (2016). Mr. Greenamyre is eager to bring these experiences to his representation of Mitchell & Shapiro’s clients.

Prior to attending law school, he taught high school English at North Atlanta High School in the Atlanta Public Schools system with Teach for America and was an intern at Mitchell & Shapiro.
