Accident involving several cars due to zombies, says truck driver

Georgia residents may have heard about a serious multiple-car accident on a southern California highway due to a driver's claims of the accident being caused by zombies. The truck accident occurred after the 19-year-old man hitched a ride from a semi-truck driver and then ran off with the truck; he lost control and crashed into several cars. The young driver told authorities that he was being chased by zombies, and they were stuck to the truck. The truck in question was stolen and full of strawberries at the time of the crash. A police officer stated that the driver was apparently under the influence of some substance that caused his delusions. The highway patrol officers reported that once the driver lost control of the semi, he hit a Toyota Tacoma causing that car to hit a Toyota 4Runner, which then hit a Mercedes. The driver kept his course and subsequently hit a Ford Taurus and Honda Accord. The tractor trailer then overturned, and the driver ran to a van where that driver held him for police. Four people were transported to the hospital, and those from the Tacoma were reported to be severely injured.

Six injuries reported in multi-vehicle accident in GA

According to law enforcement officials, six people were injured in a three-vehicle collision that took place in Dougherty County. The incident occurred on the morning of April 3 on Sylvester Road. The vehicles involved in the car accident were a Chevrolet Tahoe, a Ford Taurus and a Chevrolet Silverado. Investigators stated that the Tahoe was traveling south on County Line Road and was crossing Sylvester Road when it struck the driver's side of the Taurus. The Taurus had been traveling east on Sylvester Road at the time. The Tahoe then struck the Silverado, which was stopped at a stop sign on County Line Road. The Tahoe rolled over as a result of this car accident. Two passengers in the Taurus and four in the Tahoe were injured, but the severity of their injuries was not known. Law enforcement officials have charged the Tahoe's driver with failure to yield.

SUV kills middle-aged weekend bicyclist

A 55-year-old bicyclist was hit by a vehicle on Sunday, March 30 around 7:43 p.m. in Marietta, Georgia. The Atlanta suburb accident killed the bike rider even though he was transported to Kennestone Hospital for treatment. The driver who struck him has not been located. Police are looking for what they believe to be a black SUV that was captured on outdoor surveillance videos in the hopes that they can speak with the driver about what occurred. According to law enforcement officials, the accident unfolded right after the driver left the NCG cinema. The driver was seen exiting the facility after viewing the film "Croods," and the police said that the individual was accompanied by two children. Using movie theater security cameras, the police were able to capture images of the trio, which they later released in the hopes that someone would come forward. Officials have not released the identity of the deceased or made a statement about whether the SUV driver will be charged with negligence or any other crimes.
